KSLU Law courses Admission 2018 – Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi (Karnataka) invites application from the eligible applicants for admission to following Courses in Law for the academic year 2018-19 in its Law School and Affiliated Law Colleges

Important Dates

    • Admission Notification & Commencement of Admission: 10th May 2018
    • Last Date for Admission without Penal Fee: 10th August 2018
    • Last Date for Admission with Penal Fee of Rs.300/-: 20th August 2018
    • Last Date to Apply for Eligibility Certificates: 28th August 2018
    • Last Date for Admission with Special Fine of Rs.1000/-: 31st August 2018
    • Date of Commencement of Classes for Odd Semester: 01st August 2018

Eligibility Criteria

  • Instruction to the affiliated Colleges regarding the admissions to various Classes of 3-year LLB, 5-year BA/BBA/B.Com., LLB and 5-year BA/BBA, LLB (Hons) Courses for the academic year 2018-19
  • The applicant who has passed the prescribed qualifying exam from recognized University / Boards of Exam that are situated outside Karnataka or in a Foreign Country shall compulsorily obtain the Eligibility Certificate before taking the admission
  • Such candidates may apply for the Eligibility Certificate to the KSLU in the prescribed form by post or in person by paying necessary fee, to the office of KSLU, Hubballi along with attested documents of 10th, 12th Std. & U.G. /P.G. Degree’s as applicable along with transcripts issued by the concerned University or Board or Department
  • The qualifying degree /certificate should be in Kannada or English only
3-year LLB Course
  • An applicant who has graduated in any discipline of knowledge from a University established by an Act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an equivalent national institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an Authority competent to declare equivalence, may apply for 3-year degree course in Law leading to the conferment of LLB Degree on successful completion of the regular program conduct under the KSLU Regulations
Minimum Percentage of Marks

Minimum Percentage of Marks in qualifying exam shall not be below 45% (44.5% and above shall be treated as 45%) of total marks in case of General category applicants, 42% (41.5% and above shall be treated as 42%) for OBC category and 40% (39.5% and above shall be treated as 40%) of total marks in case of SC/ST applicants

Maximum Age
  • For seeking admission is limited to 30 years in case of General category of applicants and to 35 years in thecase of applicants from SC/ST and Other Background Communities as on 10th May 2018
5-year Integrated BA LLB/BBA LLB /B.Com. LLB/BA LLB (Hons) /BBA LLB (Hons) Courses
  • An applicant who has successful complete Pre-University course of Senior Secondary School course (‘+2’ or equivalent such as (11+1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized University of India or outside or from Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by the State Govt. or from any equivalent instruction from a foreign country recognized by the Govt. of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course, may apply for and be admitted into the course

Admission Procedure

  • Admission to the course shall be made strictly on the basis of merit. While making admission to the course reservation policy of the Govt. of Karnataka Governing admissions to higher educational institutions issued from time to time shall be observed
Reservation Policy
  • 02 Seats under supernumerary quota shall be reserved for the Jammu and Kashmir students within the sanctioned intake until the last date of admission as per the orders of Govt. of India
  • 5% of seats shall be reserved for the Kashmiri Migrants until the last date of admission as per the orders of Govt. of India, Dept. of HRD, New Delhi
  • Reservation for Hyderabad – Karnataka students under Art 371(J) as per the rules shall be adhered to 08% of the seats shall be reserved for them
  • 03% of seats shall be reserved for physically challenged students as per rules applicable
Fees Details
  • All Principals are strictly instructed to collect the fees as prescribed by the University and Govt. of Karnataka
  • The college shall apply to concerned District Social Welfare Dept. for the reimbursement of SC/ST student’s fees and should remit to the university
Intake
  • No College shall amid the students in excess of the sanctioned intake

Application Form
  • The applications for admission and the admission statement should be as per proforma prescribed by KSLU, Hubballi. The admission statement in Proforma-1 and 2 shall be forwarded to the KSLU
  • official email ID caseworker.acad.kslu@gmail.com (South Zone) and kaksluacademic9@gmail.com (North Zone) on the date of specified in Academic Calendar 2018-19
  • Soft copy Proforma No. 03 shall be submitted through email on very next date after closing the admission dates as mentioned the academic calendar 2018-19
  • Incomplete information in the Proforma will be rejected and admissions of the college will not be approved or may be withheld for want of information
  • Fee collected shall be remitted through a single Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, KSLU, Hubballi. The admission statements and the DD shall be submitted to the Registrar, KSLU along with the Proforma No. 01 containing details of fees
