Essential Qualification:

    Constable – Candidates should have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent
    SI – Candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
    The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language.

Age Limit:

    Constable – 18 – 27 years
    SI – 20 – 27 years

Salary details:

    Constables & Lady Constables in West Bengal Police in the Pay Scale of Level-6 in the pay matrix [Rs. 22,700 – Rs.58,500]
    Sub-Inspector/Lady Sub-Inspector of Police (Unarmed Branch) and Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Branch)
    in West Bengal Police in the Pay Scale of Level – 10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 32,100 – Rs. 82,900).
