One (Unreserved ) Group 'D' (MTS) Level-1, 18000-56900


Eligibility Criteria/Qualification/ Maximum age who can apply in respect of each of the Category

(As per RR)

Middle school standard & candidates possessing higher educational qualification with relevant experience will be preferred.

18 to 25 years (the age relaxation as applicable shall be as per the Central Government Orders).


Check list for application providing list of documents to be attached with application.


Document to be attached

(1) Education qualification : Certificate/marks card pass in middle school or Higher.

(2) Age proof : Copy of Birth Certificate or any I-card issued by a Govt./Govt body indicating date of birth/ place of birth.

(3) Candidates belongs to UR/OBC/ : Copy of caste certificate issued by a competent SC/ST authority.

(4) Experience : Copy of certificate issued by the employer.

The Seamens Provident Fund Scheme framed under the Seamens Provident Fund Act, 1966 ( 4 of 1966 ) was introduced retrospectively w.e.f. Ist July, 1964 to provide for the institution of a Provident Fund for all Seamen, in view of the obvious need to provide old age retirement benefit to the seamen members engaged in the Shipping industry ( Merchant Navy) and their family members in the event of death. To administer the Provident Fund Scheme, the office of the Seamens Provident Fund Commissioner was established on the 9th July , 1966.
