The Panchkula Police is under the authority of the Haryana Police, Govt of Haryana. In accordance with the Police Act, it is headed by the Commissioner, who, under the direction of the Director General of Police has the control and management of the Force and all matters connected therewith.

About Panchkula PoliceThe Panchkula Police enforces throughout Panchkula laws made by, or under, the authority of the Haryana Government. Administration of justice within the District, including enforcement of the Criminal Code, is part of the power and duty delegated to the Panchkula Police. In 2007 the Panchkula Police began moving towards a more regional management system under the direction of Deputy Commissioners.This change ensures there is greater grass-roots involvement in decision-making and also allows the Panchkula Police to invest more resources into frontline services.
