1 Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a distance learning national university located in New Delhi India. IGNOU was established in 1985 by Govt. of India to offer open and distance education particularly to disadvantaged sections of society.

IGNOU 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for certain courses offered by IGNOU are mentioned below:

For undergraduate courses:

BCA: The candidates who have passed their class 12th exam are eligible for admission in BCA course.
BSW: A pass in class 12th exam from a recognized board is required for admission in BSW course.
BA/ B.Com: Those who have passed their class 12th exam from a recognized board are eligible to apply.
Sc: A pass in class 12th with Science subjects or its equivalent is required to be eligible.

For postgraduate courses:

MBA: Any graduate (including Chartered Accountancy/ Cost Accountancy/ Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks (45% for reserved category) can apply.
MCA: A 3-year (minimum) bachelor’s degree from a recognized University and Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level is required.
MSW: Those with a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university can apply for this course.
MA: For the MA courses offered by the university, the candidates with a graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible.

For diploma courses:

Diploma in Nutrition & Health Education: The candidates are required to pass their class 12th exam from a recognized board.
Diploma in Urdu: The candidate should clear the 10th class exam with Urdu as one of the subjects or Certificate in Urdu Language from IGNOU or equivalent.
Diploma in Business Process Outsourcing: A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with English as compulsory subject & 50% marks in aggregate or a bachelor’s degree or above with English as compulsory subject at 10+2 level is required.
Diploma in Nursing Administration:Sc (Nursing) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with two years of experience is mandatory for admission in this course.

For postgraduate diploma courses:

Post Graduate Diploma in Analytical Chemistry: Science Graduate with Chemistry as one of the subjects (B. Pharma also) are eligible to apply.
Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication: Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience in a media/ communication organization is required.
Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sales Management: Graduate candidates with Science in 10+2 or 2 years of working experience as a medical representative in a Pharma industry can apply.
Post Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine: The candidates with an MBBS degree are eligible to apply.

IGNOU 2021 Syllabus

Here we are mentioning the details of the IGNOU 2021 Syllabus. The students must know the complete IGNOU 2021 Syllabus.

The authority will prepare the question based on the Overall Aptitude in the management.

Various topics will be from various sections:

In the syllabus for Part B, the topics will be as per subject competency and It will be asked from the 9th and the 10th standard which is based on the NCERT and CBSE Board curriculum.

IGNOU 2021 Exam Pattern

Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted through the offline mode.
Number of Questions: There will be a total of 200 Questions.
Total Sections: The question paper will contain Four sections such as – Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Reasoning, and English Language.
Total Marks: The question paper will contain a total of 200 Marks.
Duration of the Examination: The examination will be for a Total of 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
Marking scheme: For each correct answer, the students will get +1 Mark.
Negative Marking: There is no Negative Marking in the Entrance Test.

Steps for filling IGNOU Online Application Form
1 Please ensure your eligibility for the program before filling the online application form
2 Click on the button “REGISTER YOURSELF” that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
3 After filling the mandatory information, click the “SUBMIT” button.
4 Your username will be instantly sent to you via email and SMS.
5 If you have already registered i.e. you are an existing user, click the “LOGIN” button from the homepage of the Online Entrance Test and then login with your username and password by clicking the “LOGIN” button given on the login screen.
6 Fill personal details, program details, qualification details, and correspondence details.
7 Upload Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB) and Signature (less than 50 KB)
8 Pay your Application Fee through debit/credit card (Master/Visa/Rupay) and Net banking:
9 Once you have uploaded your photograph and signature, click the next button. You will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference

Admit Card

Get here the details of the IGNOU 2021 Admit Card. The IGNOU 2021 Admit Card will be released through the online mode. The authority will release the IGNOU 2021 Admit Card/ Hall Ticket on the official website before one-two weeks of the entrance test. The authority will not give the offline mode to get the IGNOU 2021 Admit Card.

The students are advised to take the Printout of the IGNOU Hall Ticket to download from the official website only by entering their Application/ Enrolment Number and the Date of Birth/ Name of Programme to download.

The students have to reach the exam center on time along with the IGNOU 2021 Admit Card and the ID Proof. The students will not be permitted to enter the examination without the valid IGNOU 2021 Admit Card.

Result

Get here all the details of the IGNOU 2021 Result. The authority will release the IGNOU 2021 Result through the online mode. The IGNOU 2021 Result (OPENMAT) Phase 1 will be declared in the first week of August 2020.

The authority will release the IGNOU 2021 Result of phase 2 in the month of July 2021. The IGNOU 2021 Result will contain the information of the student such as Marks obtained and the qualifying status. The students will be able to check the IGNOU 2021 Result through the online mode.

The candidates whose name will be declared as qualified candidates will only be invited for counseling on the seat allotment process by the authority.

IGNOU 2021 Counselling

Get here the details of the IGNOU 2021 Counselling. The IGNOU 2021 Counselling will be started after the declaration of the result. The qualifying candidates will be called for the IGNOU 2021 Counselling.

The authority will conduct the IGNOU 2021 Counselling through the offline mode. The IGNOU 2021 Counselling will be organized at the various Regional Centres of the IGNOU.

The authority will conduct the various IGNOU 2021 Counselling rounds for each session. The selection of the students will be based on the merit list released on a regional basis.
