Havildar(Surveyor Automated Cartographer) job in Indian Army

Applications are invited from eligible male candidates for recruitment as Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer (SAC) in Indian Army. Havildar SAC are directly recruited as Havildar into the Corps of Engineers. The duties of trade include the advancement in the field of Digital Cartography, GIS and also the integration of GIS enabled Decision Support Systems as Force Multipliers in the Indian Army.

No. of Vacancies : Total Number of vacancies are 20 (Twenty).

These vacancies are tentative and may be changed at any stage.

Qualification :   The minimum educational qualification for appointment of Havildar (SAC) are as under:- (i) The Individual holding BA/B.Sc with Mathematics and having passed 12th Class (10+2) or equivalent with Science and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized Board/ University.

Age Limit :   

(i) Civilian Candidates. The age bracket in respect of civilian candidates would not be below 20 years of age and not above 25 years of age on 01 Oct 2019 (i.e candidates born between 01 Oct 1994 to 01 Oct 1999 inclusive of both dates).

(ii) In-Service Candidates. The age bracket in respect of In-Service candidates would not be above 28 years of age as on 01 Oct 2019 (i.e candidates born between 01 Oct 1991 to 01 Oct 1999 inclusive of both dates).

Medical Standards : 

(a) A candidate should have robust physique and mental health, chest should be well developed having minimum 5 cm expansion, should have normal hearing with each ear, should have sufficient number of natural teeth, i.e. 14 dental points with healthy gums. Candidate should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles.

(b) Serving combatants or Remustering candidates must be in medical category SHAPE-1. Remustering candidates will be exempted from recruiting medical examination at the time of recruiting rally. A certificate indicating medical category duly signed by Army Medical Authority where individual is serving and countersigned by the Commanding Officer of the unit will be submitted by the candidate.
