So Selection Procedure is divided into 3 states:
1) Written Test
2) Technical Interview
3) HR interview
Written Test:
Written test consists of 35 questions 80 mins, It is a online test.
1) Middle earth is a fictional land inhabited by Hobbits, Elves, dwarves and men. The Hobbits and the Elves are peaceful creatures who prefer slow, silent lives and appreciate nature and art. The dwarves and the men engage in physical games. The game is as follows . A tournol is one where out of the two teams that play a match, the one that loses get eliminated. The matches are played in different rounds where in every round , half of the teams get eliminated from the tournament. If there are 8 rounds played in a knock-out tournol how many matches were played?

Now for the next part hare has to cover 3/4 the distance when tortoise covers 1/4 the distance

so the factor by which h,s speed increases = 3t/ (3t/5)

6) There are two water tanks A and B, A is much smaller than B. While water fills at the rate of 1 liter every hour in A, it gets filled up like, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 in tank B. (At the end of first hour, B has 10 liters, second hour it has 20 liters and so on). If tank B is 1/32 filled of the 21 hours, what is total duration of hours required to fill it completely?

Solution: for every hour water in tank in B is doubled, Let the duration to fill the tank B is x hours. x/32 part of water in tank of B is filled in 21 hours, Next hour it is doubled so, 2*(x/32) part i.e (x/16) part is filled in 22 hours,
Similarly (x/8)th part in 23 hours,(x/4)th part is filled in 24 hours, (x/2)th part is filled in 25 hours, (x)th part is filled in 26 hours
So answer is 26 hours.

This is the most repeated question in Tcs so prepare it well. It has no logic but its answer comes like this
Firstly add 2 max values i.e 20+18=38
Then add 2 to answer i.e. 38+2=40 so this is the answer.
9). Sangakara and Ponting selects batting by using a dice, but dice is biased. So to resolve, Ponting takes out a coin. What is the probability that coin shows correct option?

as he has to pay 35 dollar to neighbor he has only 31 remaining
so 35-31=4
and cycle costs 19 dollar

Because in that problem they didn,t mention the details like,one mice take 2 hr or 3hr etc. They told only 24 hr to test. So 1 mice is enough rest are useless words.
15). A Sheet of paper has statements number from 1 to 20. Statement n says "At least n of the statements on this sheet are true". Which statements are true and which are false.

Therefore combination of MI mosaic and liliac cant occur because woody and balsamic are never together
18): Alok and Bhanu play the following min-max game. Given the expression N = 15 + X*(Y Z) Where X, Y and Z are variables representing single digits (0 to 9), Alok would like to maximize N while Bhanu would like to minimize it. Towards this end, Alok chooses a single digit number and Bhanu substitutes this for a variable of her choice (X, Y or Z). If an integer is added to any of the above equations just add the integer to the value of the equations. For example in this case it would be 15+18=33. (don,t ask me for explanations why this value comes for those equations. It took me some gruelling sessions to understand that)

Only thing you need to keep in mind while interviewing is you should be confident while replying. And English is must.
Ok so as I am a CSE student Ill suggest some topics from which interviewer asks questions:
Basics of all core sub of CS such as DBMS, Network, data structure ,operating system,oops concept.
Be confident while replying and prepare technical well. Dont go in deep just take overview of all subjects.
HR round:
Then for HR interview you must prepare yourself well. Some key questions that are asked are:
1. Strengths, weakness,
Ans: You should prepare your strengths and weakness a few days earlier from interview. And you should also make examples of your strengths and weakness. Like when you say you are a good learner then you should be capable of giving a relevanr real life example where you can say you was a good learner.
2. Hobbies
Ans: Dont make fake hobbies. Always make real hobbies that you actually do in free time. Because they are going to ask a lot of questions from your hobbies part.
Like my hobbies include Photography so they asked me which camera do you use, features of that camera, latest photo you shoot, what you do with the photos, etc. So be prepare.
3. Extra co-curricular activities
Ans: Explain work you have done apart from your studies.
4. Tell me about yourself:
Ans: Tell your whole Bio data and try to bring fluency while speaking about yourself.
5. What experience do you have in this field?
6. What do you know about this organization?
Ans: This is most important part. You should search about TCS and know latest happenings, awards won by TCS and a little history of TCS. You can go to www.wikipedia.org for that information.
7. Are you a team player?
8. Why should we hire you?
Ans: Here also you need to tell your strength. And how company is going to benefit from it.
9. What is your greatest strength?
10. Tell me about your dream job?
11. What is more important to you: the money or the work?
12. Are you willing to work overtime? Nights? Weekends?
13. Would you be willing to relocate if required?
14. Do you have any questions for TCS?
Ans: This is also important to ask a question at last of the interview so prepare a question in your mind before going to interview. And never ask about Payscale, working hours and all these cheap thinkings that comes in your mind. You can go for socialism if you like social services. And many other questions are there. But what is more important is, to ask a question because that shows your interest in company.
Last point
Finally I would say that you should prepare yourself for HR interview few days earlier by having interviews with your friends and preparing for questions. Remember one thing friends dont create fake hobbies/strengths otherwise theyll caught you. Common yaar they are doing all India recruitment you cant lie with them. They have got experience in this interviewing field.
