About Us
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. It has tried to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by offering high-quality teaching through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.
Today, it serves the educational aspirations of over 3 million students in India and other countries through 21 Schools of Studies and a network of 67 regional centres, around 2,667 learner support centres and 29 overseas partner institutions. The University offers about 228 certificate, diploma, degree and doctoral programmes, with a strength of nearly 810 faculty members and 574 academic staff at the headquarters and regional centres and about 33,212 academic counsellors from conventional institutions of higher learning, professional organisations, and industry among others.

Key Points:
- There are walk-in-admissions throughout the year for Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme and all Certificate Programmes [Except Certificate in Rural Surgery (CRS) and Certificate in Teaching of Primary School Mathematics (CTPM)]
- For Management courses, an entrance test viz. OPENMAT is held twice a year.
- Admission to Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) programme is done through a national level entrance test.
- A relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks is allowed to SC/ST/PD candidates

Log on to the official IGNOU website and click the ‘Admit Card for OPENMAT XLIV Entrance Test for Management Programme’ link.
Next, the candidate should enter his/her enrollment number OR Enter his/her name along with the date of birth.
Upon successful submission, the corresponding Hall Ticket/ Admit Card will be displayed on the screen. Please verify all the details printed on the IGNOU Admit Card.

IGNOU offers a wide variety of Distance UG courses under various different specialization for 10+2 qualified students. Admission to the IGNOU courses usually commences in the month of February and the selection of eligible candidates is done based on their 10+2 examination marks.
