About Us
CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
Established in 1969 as Christ College, it undertook path-breaking initiatives in Indian higher education with the introduction of innovative and modern curricula, insistence on academic discipline, imparting of Holistic Education and adoption of global higher education practices with the support of creative and dedicated staff. The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India conferred Autonomy to Christ College in 2004 and identified it as an Institution with Potential for Excellence in 2006. In 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India, declared the institution a Deemed to be University, in the name and style of CHRIST (Deemed to be University). One of the first institutions in India to be accredited in 1998 by the NAAC, and subsequently in 2004 and 2016, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has the top grade ‘A’ in the 4-point scale.

Direct Mode: Applicants can obtain the application forms after remitting the prescribed application fee at Office of Admissions, Ground Floor, Central Block, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Main Campus, Bangalore.
Online Mode: Applicants can fill-in and submit the application forms online on the University website. The online application can be either processed after remitting the application fee through the payment gateway with a valid Credit / Debit Card / Net banking facility (details are given under the preferred program page in the University website).
Applicants should print/receive and sign the application form after filling in further details on the printed Online Application / Direct Mode Application form. They are advised to take a copy of the application form for their further reference and to produce at the time of selection process. Applicants should send/submit the application and the required supporting documents in an A4 size Envelope ONLY and kindly mention your programme applied for and Mobile Number:

The last date to register and fill Christ BBA application form 2018 in online mode is April 16, 2019 for the first slot while the deadline for the second slot is April 29, 2019. Objectives of the BCom Programme
1. To provide a strong foundation and understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and business management.
2. To develop knowledge and skills in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Insurance, Marketing, Human Resources, Taxation, etc. by adopting learner centered pedagogical practices.
3. To develop competency in students to pursue higher level programmes such as CA, CWA, ACS, MBA or other Masters’ Programmes in Commerce / Management.
4. To enhance practical knowledge and employability through real-time competitions, projects and internships.
Programme Highlights
1. Strong curriculum bridging the gap between theory and practice.
2. Dual specializations in the area of Finance and Investment, Banking and Insurance and Marketing and Human Resource Management.
3. Optional CISI, UK- IOC certification and CMA, USA – IMA professional certifications.

5. Four – Six weeks Summer Internship in the industry

7. The BCom programme gives a total of 140 credits at the end of three years.
