Qualification
- Project Officer – Education: Masters’ degree in Social Work/Psychology/Special Education. b. At least 3 years experience (post to essential qualification) in directly working with children, with a minimum of 1 year working in school settings. c. Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including signs, symptoms and diagnostic criteria. d. Knowledge and skills in therapeutic methods used with children and adolescents, particularly in school counselling settings. e. Training experience in child mental health-related issues (with teachers/school counsellors/special educators/parents). f. Knowledge of research methodology, including the ability to conceptualize research studies. g. Evidence of written work and documentation in the area of child mental health, education and protection. h. Strong English oral and written skills, with experience in coordinating and communicating with government and other systems/agencies. i. Good working knowledge of oral Hindi and/or Kannada. j. Willingness to travel within the country.
- Project Officer – Policy and Law: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.L.B) b. Have at least 1 year of experience (post essential qualification) in legal research on human rights-related subjects (preferably with a focus on child rights) c. Strong understanding of the structure and workings of the child protection system, including knowledge of child laws applicable in the protection system, namely juvenile justice and child sexual abuse laws. d. A deep knowledge of child rights, protection, juvenile justice & related laws and policies. e. Knowledge of research methodology, including the ability to conceptualize research studies. f. Evidence of written work and documentation in the area of human rights and/or child and law. g. High levels of fluency in oral and written English. h. Fluency in oral communication in Hindi. i. Willingness to travel within the country.
- Project Officer – Mental Health: Masters’ degree in Social Work/Psychology. b. At least 3 years’ experience (post to essential qualification) in directly working with children, with a minimum of 1 year working in clinical settings, such as hospitals/ departments of psychiatry/child guidance clinic. c. Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including signs, symptoms and diagnostic criteria. d. Knowledge and skills in therapeutic methods used with children and adolescents. e. Training experience in child mental health-related issues (with counsellors/mental health professionals/parents). f. Knowledge of research methodology, including the ability to conceptualize research studies. g. Evidence of written work and documentation in the area of child mental health, and protection. h. Strong English oral and written skills, with experience in coordinating and communicating with government and other systems/agencies. i. Good working knowledge of oral Hindi and/or Kannada. j. Willingness to travel within the country.
