Aspirants who have qualified GATE/GPAT can also appear for the exam

Steps to check the result

  • Logon to the website of WBUT
  • Search for the link of results
  • Select the course of WBUT Which you have appeared
  • Enter the WBUT Roll Number /Registration Number
  • Click on submit and download option
  • Take a print out of the same.

Makaut Admit Card

Admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall. Each candidate is required to carry his/her admit card to the exam venue. In the absence of the admit card, the candidate will be barred from the test.

The admit card will contain following information:

• Roll number of the candidate

• Course applied for

• Exam date

• Exam time

• Exam venue

• Student’s address

• Student’s phone number

In case of any discrepancy in the information on admit card, the candidate must immediately contact the admissions office and get the error rectified before the exam.

Makaut Exam Routine

the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal is also known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) is going to conducted annual examination in the month of May or June. WBUT conducted its exam in Semester wise. This time for even Semester exam & West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) is preparing for it. MAKAUT will be released WBUT Exam Date Sheet 2018 on the official web site of University. MAKAUT Theory Exam will be conducted from in the month of May-June 2018.

Makaut Exam Pattern 2018

A two hour long exam, WBUT PGET 2018 exam will be a total of 100 marks with 100 multiple choice objective type questions. The exam would be spread across the following sections:

  • General Section: English, Aptitude in Logical/Reasoning: 20 marks
  • Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering Sciences: 30 marks
  • Relevant Engineering Section:  50 marks

The first two sections are common to all candidates. There is no negative marking in the exam.

Makaut Exam Application Form

  • To apply for WBUT PGET, aspirants will be required to download the application form and fill the same with relevant information.
  • Next, they need to attach relevant self-attested photo-copies of mark-sheets, GATE score cards etc for verification with the filled in application form.
  • All the above mentioned documents along with the complete application form needs to be sent to the university after the application fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST candidates) is paid.
  • The application fee can be paid via a DD in favour of ‘MAKAUTWB-PGET’ from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata.

Makaut Exam Counselling

WBUT-PGET counselling will conducted in the month of July tentatively. Aspirants who secure the minimum cut-off will be shortlisted. Such students will have to register themselves online for the counselling session.

Shortlisted candidates will have to pay a Counseling fee of Rs. 500.00 by D.D. drawn in favour of “WBUT-PGET” from any bank payable at Kolkata at the time of Counseling.

Aspirants will be allowed to choose their preferred college and course. Once all the choices are submitted, aspirants will be allotted seats basis their preference and merit. Aspirants who are satisfied with the seats allotted to them will have to confirm their admission by reporting at the allotted institute. Applicants who are unsatisfied can opt for further rounds of counselling.
