Amu Admission 2019
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was established in 1920 to serve the purpose of quality education in different departments. Currently, it is offering UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate and Doctorate level programs in 13 faculties.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) offers admission to the candidates from foreign countries. Seats are also reserved for the students of SAARC and Commonwealth Countries. The students can also opt for admission in AMU-Based Colleges, Schools and centers. The admission form can be filled by visiting the official page of AMU, Controller Exam.This university also imparts education through distance learning. AMU Admission are done in two ways: Departmental Admission Test (conducted at Aligarh) and Entrance Exam (conducted at designated centers).
Admission to B.Sc (H)/ BA (H)/ B.Com (H) and BSW is offered on the basis of candidates’ score in the Admission Test (All India Level) conducted by AMU. Controller Exam.
B.Sc (H) (Agricultural Science)/ BA (H) (Shia/ Sunni/ Foreign Languages)/ BRIT/ B.P.Ed and B.Li.Sc admissions are granted through the admission test conducted by the concerned department of AMU.
BA-LL.B/ B.Ed and MBA entrance exams are conducted at Aligarh. Kozhikode and Kolkata only.
B.Tech entrance exam is conducted at different locations while B.Arch and BE (Evening) admissions are done through Department-Based Tests.
A valid score in NEET is mandatory to secure admission in MBBS/ BDS and BUMS.
MCA/ M.Sc/ MA/ M.Ed/ MFA/ M.Li.Sc/ M.P.Ed/ MIRM/ MFA and MHRM admission tests are conducted by the concerned departments of AMU only.
GATE qualified candidates can apply for M.Tech program. In the case of remaining seats, AMU conducts its own Departmental Admission Test.
MD/MS and MDS admission are based on a valid score in NEET PG and NEET MDS respectively.
AMU conducts a Written Test followed by an Interview to offer admission in Ph.D. program.

The University offers BA (H), B.Sc (H), B.Com (H), BFA, B.P.Ed and B.Ed programs in various specializations at UG level. The minimum eligibility for these courses is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% marks, except for B.Ed/ B.Li.Sc and B.P.Ed for which a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is mandatory. AMU offers full-time B.Tech, BE (Evening) and B.Arch programs in various disciplines at UG level. 10+2 with PCM is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Key Points:
- For BE (Evening), 25 extra marks will be awarded at the time of admission to the candidates with relevant experience in Govt. or Semi-Govt. organizations.
- Students must note that AMU will conduct a common test (Paper I) for both B.Tech and B.Arch programs.
- Along with Paper I for B.Arch program, the students have to secure minimum 40% marks in the Architectural Aptitude Test (Paper II) conducted by AMU at the time of admission.

AMU Admission to MBBS, BDS and BUMS (Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat) is based on candidates’ performance in NEET followed by counselling. Pre-Tib (BUMS) admission is offered through Department-based Admission Test conducted by AMU. The minimum eligibility criteria is 10+2 (PCB) with 50% marks in aggregate.

A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate is the desired eligibility criteria. For M.Ed and M.P.Ed courses, the minimum eligibility is B.Ed and B.P.Ed degree respectively. Performance in the Departmental Admission Test is the criteria for final admission.

AMU offers full-time M.Tech, MBA and MCA courses for the duration of two and three years respectively. BE/ B.Tech in the related discipline is required for M.Tech while a Bachelor’s degree is sufficient for MBA and MCA programs. Students must note that Mathematics is a mandatory subject at UG level to secure admission in MCA.
MBA (IB) admission test is conducted at Kolkata, Aligarh and Kozhikode while MBA (Agribusiness Management) admission is conducted at Aligarh only. Final admission is based GD and Interview.
GATE qualified candidates are eligible for M.Tech admission. For some of the vacant seats, AMU conducts a separate admission test at Aligarh.

Admission to Advanced Diploma, PG Diploma and Diploma programs in various disciplines are offered in different disciplines on the basis of a performance in the admission test conducted by different departments of AMU. AMU Application Process 2019
Aligarh Muslim University follows a common application Process for all the courses offered at UG and PG level. The AMU Notice about information related to admissions is being updated on the official website of the University from time to time. Application form can be filled online by following the below-listed steps:
- Visit the official website of AMU.
- Register as a new user by providing details of Name, Address & course of choice.
- Log in using the username and password generated at the time of registration.
- Fill the form with respect to personal and academic details. Upload photograph and signature.
- Fill the Aligarh Muslim University Admission Form and pay the application by Credit/ Debit card or through Net-Banking.

AMU also offers Ph.D. in various disciplines at Doctorate level. Ph.D. admissions are generally conducted in the month of August every year. Admission is granted on the basis of Written Test (80 marks) followed by Presentation/ Interview (30 marks).
Duly-filled application form is required to be submitted to the Office of Controller of Examination, AMU on or before the last date of application.
NET/ JRF/ GATE/ CSIR/ DBT/ ICAR qualified candidates will be exempted from the Entrance Test but they need to appear in The Presentation cum Interview round.

Eligibility Criteria for AMU School Admissions 2018 –
For Class 9th –
- Students should have passed class 8th qualifying examination from any recognised school
- The candidates must be of the age between 13 to 15 years as on March 31, 2018 .i.e. the date of Birth of the applicant must be between April 01, 2003 to March 31, 2005 (both days inclusive) for admission session 2018- 2019
For Class 11th –
- Secondary School Certificate of AMU or class 10th or equivalent examination from any recognised school or board
- For Science stream – Students must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate of English, Science (including Life Sciences) and Mathematics taken together. Also, they should be passed in English, Science and Mathematics separately

The students can apply for admissions to AMU schools in online mode only between the application dates mentioned by the University.
