Salary for Job : Rs.30,000/- p.m. Consolidated
Education : Master Degree (Clinical Psychology) or equivalent. An additionalqualification in Mental Health and Counseling desirable. 5 years experiencein counseling students with regard to their academic and social problemsORConsiderable teaching experience in colleges or University with closeinteraction with students.
Experience : Counselor should talk to the students on different challenges faced bythem at regular intervals (peer pressure, relationship, academic stress,learning to make decisions, making responsible choices, knowing when toask help for oneself and for others, family related issues, sexuality, identity,beliefs, time management, substance abuse, physically well-being etc).2. Conduct regular Q A sessions in the hostels on different issues oranswers questions3. Maintain updated information on all these issues.4. Be available for counseling at fixed times (including Saturdays at least).5. Act as an referral to the administration or hospital.6. Interact and interface with mentoring and hostel student administrationsystems that are in place to develop lines of communication with student.Carry out awareness and outreach events from time to time.
