Job Description 1. The engagement will be for a period of 1(one) year and on expiry of the said period,the contractual engagement will be automatically terminated. However, on expiry ofthe contract, H.D.C., KoPT reserves the right to enter into a fresh contract for suchperiod and such terms as may be mutually agreed upon by the parties.2. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations of all the three oil jetties,barge jetties-I II, and Oil terminals at berth no.2 and 3. He will be the nodal officerfor Pollution Control activities within the limits of Haldia Dock Complex. He will alsobe responsible for fire fighting on vessels from the River Side / Basin with the Dy.Manager, Operations. Dy Manager (Operations) and Chief Co-ordinator (OilTerminals), in absence of one, will carry out duties of the other. He will also beresponsible to liase with other oil industries operating at HDC and statutory bodiesfor fighting Pollution and Disaster Management.3. The selected candidate will be paid a fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs.65,000/-per month.4. The selected candidate may avail of HDC accommodation (unfurnished) at Haldia onpayment of license fee / rent as applicable. Electricity charges shall have to be borneby the candidate at actuals.5. The office of the selected candidate will normally be at any of the working pointsunder MO Divisions, HDC.
Education : Must have held a rank of Commander in the Indian Navy or an equivalent rank inthe Indian Coast GuardORMust have 1st Mate Foreign going with Advanced Fire Fighting and TankerTerminal Operation course from the Directorate General of Shipping accreditedInstitutes.ii) Must have domain knowledge of tanker operations, fire fighting and pollutioncontrol, assistance in berthing and unberthing, ability to deal with senior officersof the Indian Coast Guard, Oil Companies and other regulatory authorities
