Zoho eligibility criteria
In Zoho placement drive, generally there is no criteria on eligibilty (number of arrears, GPA etc.) and anyone can attend the selection procedure. Also, most of the times it comes for both internship and full-time placement, so make sure you grab the opportunity with both hands.
Procedure for Zoho campus placement
Zoho recruitment process has totally 4 rounds - 2 written rounds and 2 face to face interviews (at the company). They will start by giving a presentation about their company for about 20 minutes and then stress you to ask some questions from them. Be active enough during this period and if possible ask a question or two in order to leave a good impression on the HR Manager and other people from the company.
One of the written rounds is aptitude plus technical whereas the second is purely technical. The first written round is divided into 2 parts – the first part has 25 aptitude questions. The time allotted for the same is 1.5 hours. Also, these questions can be easily solved if you know the basics of common aptitude questions asked from time to time. Next, you will be provided with the question paper of the next part as soon as the time for first round ends.
The second part consists of 10 technical questions based upon C / C++ programming and SQL queries. The time duration allotted for this part is 1 hour and all questions are generally objective type except one or two where you have to write direct answers or outputs. Here also ample time is given for mere 10 questions of objective type. Zoho is one of the few companies that give so much time for comparatively fewer questions that are not very tough to solve.
After an hour the results of the first round are declared and after another hour, the students are told to assemble again for the second written round which is of 75 minutes. It consists of 5 programming questions where you are supposed to write the codes for each one of them (can be written in C / C++ or Java). The difficulty is medium but you have to be good at the basics to think through the logic within time.
The examiners check the logic of your solution more than the syntax but all the same you should have good knowledge of the syntax also. When such questions come where you have to write codes, be sure to write legibly with proper comments since the person checking your paper needs to know what actually you are trying to do or what logic you have applied. Most importantly, make sure that you are precise with comments and don’t write long essays.
Finally, Zoho offers 2 salary packages, i.e., 4.5 LPA and 6.5 LPA, depending on a candidate’s performance in the interviews. Though the process may seem tiring, Zoho has its own positives as it is a very good place for a fresher to work at and also a great place for anyone to begin their careers.
