About the Role
UGC is inviting applications for the post of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade). The role involves driving official vehicles, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and assisting in office-related transportation duties.
Key Responsibilities
Drive official vehicles for the transportation of officers and materials.
Maintain logbooks, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports.
Ensure regular servicing and upkeep of assigned vehicles.
Follow all traffic and safety regulations during official duties.
Perform additional tasks assigned by supervising officers.
Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification: 10th Pass from a recognised board. Experience: Minimum three years of driving experience with a valid LMV driving licence. Desirable: Knowledge of motor mechanism and ability to carry out minor repairs. Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 1 November 2025 (relaxation as per government rules).
Pay and Benefits
Pay Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) with allowances as per Central Government norms.
Benefits include DA, HRA, TA, and NPS coverage.
Medical and leave benefits as per service rules.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a driving skill test followed by document verification. Final selection will be purely on merit.
