About the Role
UGC is inviting applications for the post of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade). The role involves driving official vehicles, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and assisting in office-related transportation duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive official vehicles for the transportation of officers and materials.
  • Maintain logbooks, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports.
  • Ensure regular servicing and upkeep of assigned vehicles.
  • Follow all traffic and safety regulations during official duties.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by supervising officers.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: 10th Pass from a recognised board.
Experience: Minimum three years of driving experience with a valid LMV driving licence.
Desirable: Knowledge of motor mechanism and ability to carry out minor repairs.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 1 November 2025 (relaxation as per government rules).

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) with allowances as per Central Government norms.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a driving skill test followed by document verification. Final selection will be purely on merit.
