About the Recruitment
The NIA has announced the Recruitment Notification 2025 to fill multiple vacancies on a deputation/absorption basis. The posts include Assistant Director, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Inspectors, and Sub-Inspectors. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Additional qualifications in Criminology, Forensic Science, or Law will be preferred.

Experience:

  • Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department OR with the following experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in investigation or intelligence work.
    • Experience in handling counter-terrorism, organized crime, or economic offences preferred.

Age Limit (as on 20 February 2026):

  • Maximum 56 years (for deputation posts).
  • Age relaxation applicable for government employees as per rules.

Pay and Benefits

  • Assistant Director: Level 12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200)
  • DSP: Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
  • Inspector: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
  • Sub-Inspector: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
  • Additional benefits: DA, HRA, TA, Medical coverage, NPS, and deputation allowance as per central government norms.

Selection Process

  1. Screening of Applications: Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and relevant experience.

  3. Final Selection: Based on performance, service record, and vigilance clearance from the parent department.
