About the Recruitment

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Additional qualifications in Criminology, Forensic Science, or Law will be preferred.
Experience:
- Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department OR with the following experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investigation or intelligence work.
- Experience in handling counter-terrorism, organized crime, or economic offences preferred.
Age Limit (as on 20 February 2026):
- Maximum 56 years (for deputation posts).
- Age relaxation applicable for government employees as per rules.
Pay and Benefits
- Assistant Director: Level 12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200)
- DSP: Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
- Inspector: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400)
- Sub-Inspector: Level 6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)
- Additional benefits: DA, HRA, TA, Medical coverage, NPS, and deputation allowance as per central government norms.
Selection Process
