TATA Steel Limited (formerly TATA Iron and Steel Company Limited (TISCO)) founded in 1907 by Dorabji TATA, is an Indian multinational steel-making company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and a subsidiary of the TATA Group.
Following is the placement procedure for different posts at TATA Steel Limited :
1.TATA Steel Management trainee : The whole paper is divided into two sections, out of which first section consists of 30 questions of qualitative aptitude and second section consists of 30 questions of English.
All questions are objective type. Each question 1 mark and for every 3 wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. Time alloted is 90 Minutes.
2.Graduate Engineer Trainee : First there is a PPT in which they will explain about the company and its business. After that there is a written test that comprises of 2 sections.
In technical there are very basic questions from basic electronics, computer networking, operating systems. Aptitude questions are quite easy, from profit and loss,percentage,time-speed, simple interest,calculations based..but speed matter here a lot.
In total (tech + apti) there are 50 questions for 60 mins. Next round is technical interview.In technical interview they will ask qustions like:
1. Tell me about yuorself
2. Explain your project. They'll ask you your domain (they prefer it computer networks and optical communication related)
3. Basic networking questions.
4. C programming and data structure questions from tree and linked list
After that comes the round of HR interview. HR interviewer will ask only basic questions like your education, likes, dislikes, your brief introduction, etc.
