CMC Vellore MBBS Admission 2018 – Christian Medical College, Vellore will not be conducting an entrance examination of its own for admissions to undergraduate medical programmes for the academic session 2018-19. CMC Vellore MBBS 2018 admission will be on the basis of the NEET 2018 scores. CMC Vellore activated the link for the NEET 2018 qualified candidates to enter their NEET score. Earlier, the application form for admission to CMC Vellore MBBS 2018 was released on February 21, 2018.

CMC Vellore MBBS Admission 2018 – Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates seeking admission to CMC Vellore MBBS 2018 must be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018.
  • The age of the candidates must not exceed 25 years as on May 7, 2018.
  • Candidates need to pass all the subjects of the qualifying exam of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) with minimum eligible marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology conducted by State Board/any other equivalent board.
  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as subjects. They also must have passed in the above-mentioned subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (BC/MBC/SC/ST-40%, SC-PH/ST-PH/BC-PH/GEN-PH-45%) in aggregate at the exam in order to be eligible for CMC Vellore MBBS admission 2018.
  • Candidates applying for CMC Vellore MBBS 2018 admission must be domicile of Tamil Nadu.
  • The criteria for domicile will be same as directed by the Tamil Nadu government for admission of candidates into the MBBS/BDS colleges of the state.

CMC Vellore Cut-off

Cut-off is a very important parameter to predict candidates rank in the appeared entrance exam. It is the minimum marks secured by the candidates to appeared in the exam or qualify the exam. For appearing in top rank, candidates have to score maximum marks. A separate merit list will prepare on the basis of cut-off. On the basis of cut-off scores candidates will get admission.

  • Candidates who have cleared the CMC Vellore 2018 entrance examination can proceed to the further process of admission or counselling.
  • A merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test.
  • After that, the shortlisted candidates will be called for further admission round like an interview, etc.
  • The final selection list for PG courses will be announced on 22nd March 2018.
  • During the counselling process, candidates will be required to bring their original documents for document verification.
  • Candidates selected for admission are required to report to the specified venue to confirm their admissions.

NOTE: There is no NRI quota in the college. All admissions are only on the basis of merit, taken overall, in an entrance examination, other tests and interviews.

All candidates from India or abroad with qualifications other than the ‘Plus Two Examination of Higher Secondary Board’ of Tamilnadu State should obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the TN Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai 600 032, Tamilnadu, in order to be eligible for admission.

Non-Indian nationals will have to obtain a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Government of India by applying through the Principal /Dean of the College to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi – 110 001.
