eligibility criteria
- Educational Qualification: Graduation in Law, Criminology, Forensic Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Experience: For senior roles, 5–10 years of experience in law enforcement or criminal investigation. Preference will be given to officers from central/state police, IB, or paramilitary organizations on deputation.
- Age Limit: Maximum age 56 years for deputation, and up to 35 years for direct recruitment (as per government norms).

- Coordinate intelligence collection and share actionable inputs with central/state agencies.
- Lead field teams, manage evidence collection, and prepare case reports for prosecution.

- Ensure adherence to national security laws and operational procedures.

The salary structure varies according to the post:
- Assistant Director – Level 11 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700)
- DSP – Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
- Inspector/Sub-Inspector – Level 7 to Level 8 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400) Additional benefits include DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and pension under the National Pension System (NPS).
