SSC Rules & Regulations
1. The commission has the discretion to fix different minimum qualifying
standards in the papers of the preliminary examination taking into
consideration among others, category- wise vacancies.The combined
preliminary examination is meant to serve as a screening test only;
the marks obtained in the preliminary examination by the candidate
who are declared qualified for admission to the main/written examination
will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. only
such candidates who are declared by the commission to have qualified
in the preliminary examination in a year will be eligible for admission
to the main examination(s) of that year provided they are otherwise
eligible for admission to the main examination(s).
2. The candidates are not required to submit alongwith their applications
for preliminary examination any certificate in support of their claims
regarding age, educational qualifications, scheduled castes/scheduled
tribe/other backward classes and disability etc. which will be verified
at the time of the main examination only.
3. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that
they fulfill all the conditions for Admission to the examination.
their admission at all the stages of examination for which they are
admitted by the commission viz. preliminary examination, main(written)
examination and interview test will be purely provisional, subject
to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
4.If on verification at any time before or after the preliminary examination,
main(written) examination and interview test, it is found that they
do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature
for the examination will be cancelled by the commission. The candidate
may be permanently debarred for the examinations conducted by this
commission in case he/she fraudulently claims sc/st/obc/ph/ exs status.
