Police Constable Recruitment 2022: West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has released the notification of online application for recruitment to the post of constable/woman constable in Kolkata Police. The last date for submission of application is 27 June 2022. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for these posts by visiting their official website - wbpolice.gov.in. Only online applications will be accepted for this recruitment.
With this recruitment process, 1410 posts of constable are to be filled. At the same time, 256 posts of Lady Constable are to be recruited. Talking about studies, to apply for these posts, the candidate should be secondary i.e. 10th pass. Talking about the age limit, then the age of the candidate should be at least 18 years. And the maximum age limit has been kept at 27 years. The age limit will be calculated from 1st January 2022.
Talking about the application fee, then SC ST category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 20. On the other hand, the candidates of the second category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 170. Candidates will be selected for this recruitment on the basis of Preliminary Exam, PMT, PST, Main Exam and Interview.

Initially, the Board was given responsibility only for the recruitment of Constables in West Bengal Police. Later, the Government has given the responsibility of recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector/Lady Sub-Inspector of police and recruitment of Staff for others uniformed services like Directorate of Excise, Directorate of Correctional Administration, Forest Department, Department of Disaster Management & Civil Defence.
