Qualification

Asst. Cantonment Planner: Passed Degree in B.E/ B.Tech (Civil) or equivalent from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, or Recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Asst. Engineer [Civil]: Passed Degree in B.E/ B.Tech (Civil) or equivalent from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, or Recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Asst. Medical Officer: MBBS degree from an institution/college recognized by the Medical Council of India/Govt of India.
Pharmacist (Allopathy): D.Pharm passed from a recognized Board of Technical Education in India or equivalent recognized by a Govt. approved Health University.
Nurses: B.Sc (Nursing) or 03 years in General Nursing and Midwifery Course passed from a recognized college approved by Nursing Council of India. Nursing Candidates must be registered as Nurse/Midwife with Central/State Nursing Councils.

About Secunderabad Cantonment Board

The subjects of Defence and Cantonments are included in the Union List-I in the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution of India including local self-Government. The Central Govt. may by notification in the Official Gazette declare any place or places along with boundaries in which any part of the forces is quartered or in which being in the vicinity of any such place or places, is or are required for the service of such forces to be a Cantonment.

Every Board shall, by the name of the place by reference to which the Cantonment is known to be a corporate body having perpetual succession and a common seal with power to acquire and hold property both movable and immovable and to contract & shall by the said name, sue and be sued.

In such areas, the Cantonments Act, 2006 enacted by the Parliament has provisions regarding the administration of the Cantonment area. As per Section 10 of the said Act, there shall be a Cantonment Board for every cantonment. The history of Cantonments started with land administration for quartering the troops. Housing was the core objective. In the due passage of time, housing itself attracted the civil population to reside in the Cantonments and the economic spin-offs attracted other activities. The bazaar area was recognized, and the anatomy of the Cantonment got clearly defined with the military, the bungalow, and the civil areas.
