Job summary
We're building an entirely new retail experience with no lines and no checkout Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out Technology, which automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart When a customer is done shopping, they just walk out! Shortly after, their credit card is charged for their purchases and a receipt is sent
In addition to Just Walk Out technology, we are creating a variety of other exciting customer experiences through inventions like Amazon One and Amazon Dash Cart These products use a variety of technologies including computer vision, sensor fusion, and advanced machine learning.

Basic Qualifications :

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
3+ years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience.


2+ years experience in designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using Object Oriented Design
Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
Expertise in handle complex system designs and build scalable and resilient end to end systems
Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture)
Experience optimising for short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities
Ability and willingness to multi-task and learn new technologies quickly.


Experience working in start-up mode building products and services from the ground up
Able to deliver results in a cross-functional team, making high-quality contributions to other systems and libraries
Experience creating extensible, well-abstracted designs and driving consensus with other engineers

Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
Proficient in at least one of: Java, C++, C# or other statically compiled language
3+ years experience as a key member of an engineering team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of successfully launched applications
