Executive Trainees job in Power System Operation Corporation Ltd.
Recruitment of Executive Trainees in Electrical, Computer Science disciplines through GATE – Advt. No. CC/13/2019 dated 30th August, 2019
Qualification : Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Engg./ Information Technology with 65% marks
Compensation Package : Selected candidates for will be placed in the pay scale of ₹ 60000-180000 and other allowances and benefits as applicable, during the one-year training period. The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package which is one of the best in the Industry.
Age Limit : 28 years as on 31.07.2020 (Candidatesshould have been born on or after 01.08.1992)
Application Fees : SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempt from payment of application fees. You are required to login to your candidate login section and then deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500/-through online mode only. ONLY on the submission of application fees, your application process will be treated as complete. Candidates are required to show their GATE 2020 Admit card and GATE 2020 Score card for verification at the time of GD/Interview/Joining in POSOCO.
Selection Process : Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2020, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Eligible candidates will have to appear in the corresponding papers of GATE 2020 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE)/ Computer Science and Information Technology (CS).
Candidates qualified in corresponding paper of GATE 2020 shall only be eligible to be considered for the next stage of selection.

The subsidiary was set up on the recommendations of a government committee headed by G.B. Pradhan, additional secretary in the Union ministry of power. To make load despatch centres financially self-reliant and autonomous, the committee recommended independent and sustainable revenue streams. The move to separate the two functions is in keeping with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003, which seeks to separate commercial interests from load management functions. The Pradhan committee report had recommended setting up a separate representative board structure overseeing the functions of the five regional load despatch centres (RLDCs) run by PGCILthe northern, eastern, north-eastern, western and southern regions at that time. The subsidiary was eventually made a separate company effective from 3 January 2017.
