Job Information
Applications are invited along with bio-data and copies of the certificates of qualification, experience, etc. for a position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CNSNT),Panjab University, Chandigarh under a CEFIPRA (Indo-French) research project No. 6108-1 – ‘Plasmonic hot electron pockets as exciton luminescence promoters and regioselective chemical triggers’.
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project at any point of time. The position is initially for one year and likely to be extended which may culminate with the Ph.D. degree.
The essential qualification for JRF: M. Sc. in Physics (preferable)/Chemistry or M. Tech. in physical sciences/electronics with a minimum of 55 % marks. Candidates who have cleared CSIR UGC-NET/GATE/any other national level examinations conducted by central government departments and agencies and institutions only need to apply.
Those who applied earlier w.r.t. NSNT/20/1085 need not apply again. It is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate fundamental knowledge in nanoscience and theoretical understanding in nanoplasmonics.
A successful candidate also needs to demonstrate capabilities to carry out independent research work (candidates with academic background relevant to the requirements of the project will get preference).
The incumbent may be expected to work on Saturdays/Sundays and holidays for any project exigency. Relaxation in qualifying marks, fellowship, leave, etc. are as per university rules and regulations/government of India/ CEFIPRA.
*Emoluments/Fellowships as under: First two years: ₹ 31,000 per month + HRA
