National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. In 970 it matured into an institute having a space of its own in the heart of central Mumbai with an unique identity which was then named as the Institute for Research in Reproduction (IRR).
