About St Jude India ChildCare Centre
St. Jude India ChildCare Centres (St. Judes for short) is a not-for-profit organization in India that provides free of charge shelter and holistic care to children who are undergoing cancer treatment along with their families, at Tata Memorial Hospital and other treating hospitals. It is a Section 8 non-profit company supported by individuals, corporate houses and Charity Trusts. Founded in 2006 by Nihal and Shyama Kaviratne, St. Judes has 33 centres located in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur and Hyderabad and Vellore. The holistic care includes an infection-free environment conducive to the child€™s recovery, educational and recreational services for the children and their parents and counselling services throughout the duration of their treatment. Those children who come back for maintenance and follow up can once again stay at one of the centres.
About the role
The organisation is seeking to hire a new CEO to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth. The existing CEO is looking to transition out by early 2019 in a managed exit process. The role would involve working closely with the Board of Directors to design the organisation€™s strategy, leading fundraising efforts and managing the team across the different locations.
Note - This is a Mumbai based role.

Key Responsibilities:
1) Set and Execute a Growth Strategy:
  • Set strategy and direction;
  • Identify a priority set of operational and growth targets;
  • Develop a pipeline of new products to be added to the company€™s portfolio.
2) Drive Fundraising Efforts:
  • Set fundraising targets and execute on them;
  • Build and manage a pool of prospective and existing donors;
  • Work in partnership with the board to achieve fundraising results;
3) Manage and Develop the Team
  • Drive the professional development of the team;
  • Lead the recruitment process to grow the team, aligned to the agreed strategy;
  • Maintain the existing team€™s positive work culture, and identify areas to enhance it.
Does this sound like you?
1) Leadership Track Record:
  • A minimum of 20 years experience, of which at least 10 years should be in a CXO or GM role at a reputed organisation, with P&L responsibility and a strong track record of achievement;
  • Strong financial acumen, with ability to analyse and draw insights from financial reports.
2) Team Building and Stakeholder Management Skills:
  • A track record of achievement in building and managing teams;
  • Experience in managing a diverse set of stakeholders, including donors.
3) Change Management Experience;
  • A track record of change management, having led transformation initiatives in previous organisations, including developing and implementing new systems and processes.
4) Motivated by St Jude€™s vision and social impact:
  • Evidence of alignment with St. Jude€™s public benefit objectives, and that these have influenced the candidate€™s application.
