Thapar University Admission 2018 Btech

TIET B.Tech Admissions 2019 – Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed to be University) will conduct TIET B.Tech 2019 admissions based on the JEE Main score. The application form of TIET B.Tech 2019 will be available tentatively in last week of February in online mode. However, before applying for the admission for TIET B.Tech 2019 candidates are suggested to meet and check the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.

Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates who are seeking admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology must refer and meet the TIET 2019 eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. Age limit, qualifying examination & marks to name few are the parameters that are listed under the eligibility criteria. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of TIET B.Tech 2019, before applying for the admissions.

Nationality– Should be citizen of India

Age criteria– Candidates should born on or after October 1, 1994. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD candidates, there is 5-years relaxation in age.

Qualifying Examination & Marks: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (for SC/ST candidates 55%) in aggregate of three subjects- Mathematics, Physics and any one subject out of Biology, Chemistry Technical Vocational subject and Biotechnology. If not this,

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 80% marks (75% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects- Mathematics, Physics, and any one subject out of Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject and Chemistry.

Candidates who have passed diploma from any AICTE recognized institute or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) are also eligible for TIET B.Tech admissions 2019.

Marks Required in JEE Main 2019- Candidates will have to secure at least 20% aggregate marks (for SC/ST candidates 15%) in JEE Main 2018. Or candidates will have to obtain at least 15% aggregate marks (10% for SC/ST candidates) in JEE Main 2019.

Application Form 2019

The authorities will release the application form of TIET B.Tech 2019 in online mode tentatively in third week of May. Along with the form, candidates will be required to deposit application fees of TIET B.Tech 2019.

• Scanned image of recent size passport photograph of the candidate in prescribed format and dimension
• Scanned image of signature in prescribed format and dimension
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• JEE Main 2019 Admit Card
• PwD certificate (if applicable)

Steps to Fill TIET B.Tech Application Form 2019

Given below are the steps to follow to fill and submit the application form.

Step 1: Get Register- Candidates will have to register themselves by entering their name, email address, mobile number, and programme they wish to apply for. Once submit all the details, ‘create a new account option will appear. Click on it.

Step 2:  Generation of Username- The ‘username’ and ‘password’ will be sent to the candidates registered email-id and mobile number. Change the password and continue.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form- Enter personal, academic, qualifying exam and other requisite details along with the communication address.

Step 4: Upload Photograph and Signature- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, parent’s signature and JEE Main admit card in required format and dimension as prescribed.

Step 5: Pay the Application Fees- Once uploaded the images, pay Rs 1500 as the application fee of TIET B.Tech 2019. The application fee can be paid either in online or offline mode.

Modes of Fee Payment

Online- Can pay through credit/debit card or net banking.

Offline- Can pay through demand draft (DD) drawn in favour of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology and payable at Patiala. If a candidate opts for offline mode, he/she will have to sent DD along with the application form through registered post or deposit in person at the given below address:

Step 6: Submit and Take a Print Out of Application Form- After paying the application fees, submit the form and take a 2 print outs of it for future reference.

Merit List 2019

Based on the candidates JEE Main 2019 score, authorities will prepare TIET B.Tech 2019 merit list. All the candidates whose name will be appear in merit list will be called for counselling and seat allotment process. The merit list of TIET B.tech 2019 will be released in online mode. Candidates can check the merit list by log-in to their account using their credentials.
