Delhi University (DU) is a public central collegiate university which offers admission in multiple specializations under various undergraduate (UG) courses (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Tech) and postgraduate (PG) courses (MA, M.Com, M.Sc, M.Tech) on the basis of qualifying degree merit/ Entrance Examination marks. Known for its high standards in teaching and research, it is one of the largest universities in India with 77 affiliated colleges spread all over Delhi.

  • The application process for UG, PG courses commences in the month of May every year.
  • Candidates who have passed the higher secondary examination (Class 12) from a recognized board of education can apply to UG courses.
  • Final admission to merit-based UG courses involves screening of qualifying marks.
  • For several UG courses such as B.Tech, BMS, BBA-FIA etc., candidates have to appear for the university entrance test.
  • For the entrance examination, admit card shall be available online within in a week after the last date of application.
  • Those seeking admission to PG courses must possess a bachelors degree in the relevant discipline with minimum required aggregate.
  • Registration for the UG, PG courses can be done through common registration portal available at the official DU website.

Admission to UG merit-based courses such as BA, B.Sc and B.Com commence in the month of May every year. Candidates are shortlisted for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination. Interested students can apply through online mode to secure admission in non-entrance based courses offered in different affiliated colleges of University of Delhi.

Delhi University PG Admission 2019

  • Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
  • The application fee is INR 2000 (Unreserved and OBC candidates) and INR 1500 (SC/ST/PwD/CW candidates)
  • The course will comprise of two semesters, each containing five subjects and an end of semester project.
  • The classes will be held from Monday to Friday as per the scheduled timetable from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Selection of candidates for the PGDCSL will be based on the combined merit of qualifying exam and personal interview.
  • 85% weightage will be given to the qualifying degree merit and 15% weightage will be given to the interview

Delhi University Admission Form Last Date

Here we have mentioned the some new changes introduced for the admission process:

  • Registration for the merit based and entrance based courses can be done on the same portal through one application.
  • Details of applicant’s marks in the 12th class will be automatically captured by the software from the database provided by CBSE, once a student enters their roll number & other details.
  • For admission in sports category, candidates can now submit their three best certificates instead of one. These certificates have to be uploaded as three separate documents.
  • Five year integrated course in Journalism has been added as a new course to the portal.

Candidates can get Delhi University admission form 2018 only through online mode. Candidates check other details of application form below:

  • The university does not provide any facility for DU Registration 2018 through offline mode.
  • DU Admission Forms is available from 15th May 2018 (for UG courses) and 18th May (for PG).
  • Candidates can fill the application till 7th June 2018 for UG & PG courses.
  • Candidates can also apply for more than one course in the same application but they have to paid separate application fee for each course.
  • During DU Application Form 2018 filling, candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature, self attested ID proof, caste certificate & 10th passing certificate.
  • Keep the printout copy of the filled Delhi University application form 2018 for future use.
