About Up Seva Mandal
The formation of U. P. Co-operative Institution Service Board was under U. P. Co-operative Society act 1965, section 122, subsection (1) of the cooperative department under notification no. 366C-12-36/7/71 dated: 04/03/1972 for recruitment of co-operative employees and has an authority for disciplinary control. By the Government Notification no. 2213/49-2-2002-26(73)2002 dated 04/01/2003 declared to the board as an authority for cooperative union.
There were no service rules for employees of co-operatives institutions before year 1972. For recruitment and other works, co-operative institutes use their own methods. Enlargement of Co-operative institution and extension in working area it was necessary that the institutions should be brought uniformity in the service rules and district level and state level co-operative staff recruitment and disciplinary control of institution an authority should be established. For this object state government of Uttar Pradesh was formed U. P. Co-operative Institutional Service Board. This board consists of a Chairman, two members and a Secretary. Chairman and members are appointed by Co-operative Department level of Additional Registrar. The Chairman and Member are of senior ex-cadred post working in higher pay scale.
