Job Description Applications are invited for up to TWO posts of RESEARCH ASSITANT (RA) on a temporarybasis for Neuronal Cell Biology and Biophysics in the Soft Condensed Matter Group of theInstitute. The position is for 1 year with first 6 months under probation. Position may beextended up to a maximum of 2 years, with regular evaluation. We seek motivated individualswith good academic background with an aptitude to explore and master the functioning and useof scientific equipment and eagerness to learn new techniques. Salary for Job : A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 22,000/- + 30 HRA on the consolidated remuneration per month wil
Education : M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. degree in any field of Biotechnology/Life Scienceswith at least 1 year of academic or industrial work experience in molecular biology andbiochemistry. M.Sc./BE./B Tech in Physics or Engineering with a strong aptitude forexperimental Biophysics research, and preferably one year of work experience.
Experience : Experimental work experience in a research lab in molecular biology, biochemistry,cell biology. Hands on experience with Fluorescence microscopy or confocal microscopy.Ability to work in multidisciplinary lab environment. Detail oriented, excellent documentationskills and should have quantitative approach in research. Familiarity with data analysis andcomputer programming can be an added advantage.
