Job Description Applications are invited for THREE POSTS of RESEARCH ASSISTANTS on a temporarybasis for ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE related activities insupport of experimental astronomy research in observational cosmology. The appointments arespecifically for work with the group engaged in the measurements of spectral distortions in thecosmic radio background related to events in the early and evolving universe. Salary for Job : Rs.22,000/- per month + HRA (30 of consolidated remuneration) will be paid to the selected candidat
Education : BE/BTech degree in Electronics or Electronics Communication Engineering, with atleast 80 marks or 8.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination.BE/BTech degree in Electronics or Electronics Communication Engineering orComputer Science, with at least 80 marks or 8.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination
Experience : Ability to work in teams and in remote field stations is essential ? although the positionsand work will be based at the Raman Research Institute campus at Bangalore, it may beneeded to make field trips with the team members for remote deployment of radioastronomy receivers and/or system tests and measurements.The application is expected to demonstrate competence in the domain area of the work aslisted above.Demonstrated interest in experimental astronomy/physics is desirable.Experience in the domain area of the work is desirable. The application may documentexamples of project work or experience in the domain areas.
