Job Description Applications are invited for ONE POST of RESEARCH ASSISTANT/PROJECT ENGINEERon a temporary basis for Investigation of Interactions in Many Body Systems. The projectrequires the applicant to design, set up and carry out of experiments to study patterns whichemerge due to magnetic interactions between bodies both at the macro and microscopicscales as a function of certain controllable external parameters. The candidate will also berequired to develop analysis protocols to interpret the observations. In addition thecandidate will be required to develop lab tools and techniques for a variety of experiments.The candidate will be associated with the Quantum Interactions Group of the Institute for aperiod of one year/ extendable to second year (as the case may be). We seek motivatedindividuals with good academic background with an aptitude to explore and master thefunctioning and use of scientific equipment and eagerness to learn new techniques. In additionwe expect the candidate to exhibit versatility, creativity and enthusiasm. Experience : Former experience of research work through projects.Experience in designing experiments in a physics based lab environment.Knowledge of programming languages like C/ Python / Mathematica will be very advantageous.Some familiarity with soft matter research and characterization techniques will be considered anadvantage.Knowledge of advanced topics in Magnetism will be considered an advantage
