Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Notification 2016 For Lateral Entry Test for ClassIX Applications Available From www.nvshq.org : Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has recently released a notification for admission of candidates to the class IX against vacant seats. It is going to conduct an Entrance Test for the eligible candidates. Government of India set a co-educational residential institutions named as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in 28 states and 7 UTs excluding Tamilnadu. There are total of 598 such vidyalayas in India.
The aim of these Vidyalayas is to provide quality modern education to the children predominantly from rural areas. The admission into these Vidyalayas is at Class VI , it is intended to fill vacnt seats with a lateral entry test at Class IX level.
So the applications are invited from the interested candidates of the District , against vacant seats for the academic year 2016-17 for admission into Class IX . The test is All India Level test to be conducted on 24th April 2016. The medium of test is in English / Hindi languages.
Eligibility Criteria:
v The candidates those who have studied or studying class VIII during the academic year of 2015-16 in any one of the Govt./ Govt recognized schools of the district where the admission sought.
v The candidates those who are going to appear for the selection test must pass Class VIII in the academic year 2015-16 from a govt./ govt. recognized school.
v The age limit of the candidate must be, born between 01-05-2000 to 30-04-2004. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process & Nature of Test :
The candidates will be selected and given admission into class IX based on their marks in Entry Test which is conducted in the following subjects.
v English – 15 Marks
v Hindi – 15 Marks
v Maths- 35 Marks
v Science – 35 Marks
The test will be in Objective / Descriptive nature with three hours time frame.
Centre of Exam :
The candidates can write the exam at the concerned Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of their District.
Procedure to Apply for the Test :
The candidates can obtain the Prospectus cum Application form from the Office of the Principal , Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Office of the District & Block Education Officers for free of cost.
Otherwise the candidates can also download it from the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya. The completely filled application should reach the concerned district authority by 29th February 2016 in Registered post / in person.
