The recruitment of 6600 constable posts of Haryana Police, stuck for almost one and a half years, finally came to an end. Haryana Staff Selection Commission has released the final result of 5500 male constable and 1100 female constable posts. The commission has declared the result of both the recruitments under Equi percentile formula.
Most of those candidates have been selected in both the recruitments, who have the marks of economic and social basis. It is being claimed that in the recruitment of 5500 male posts, 4200 candidates have been selected on the basis of additional marks on socio-economic basis. Similarly, in the revised result of women constable released by the commission, most of the daughters are those who did not have a job earlier or their husband or father has died.
From paper leaks to other controversies, both the recruitments were stuck for about one and a half years. The candidates had also approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding both the recruitments. The candidates had termed the normalization formula applied by the commission as wrong. However, on the last date, the Commission had told the High Court that it can release the result on the basis of Equi Percentile Formula on the lines of UP. On Friday, the commission released the result of both the recruitments. The final result has been released by adding the written test score, qualifying marks and economic social basis marks.
Both the recruitments were embroiled in controversies.

Apart from this, a large number of youth had also reached the High Court regarding the height.
133 youths were caught giving papers and running in place of others. Panchkula police had also arrested many candidates in this case. Similarly, for the recruitment of women constable, the commission had released the result in December. In this too, most of the selection was done on the basis of extra marks. On investigation, the affidavits of 72 women candidates were found to be false. The commission has now released the revised result of women constable recruitment by excluding them.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal has congratulated all the talented youth selected on the basis of their merit in the recruitment of Haryana Police Constable and wished them all the best for their bright future. Also reiterated that the government is committed to complete the recruitment process in an honest and transparent manner. He said that the government has taken all necessary steps to make the recruitments in a fair and timely manner. The recruitment process of the advertised posts regarding CET will be completed soon. Apart from this, the youth will get many job opportunities in the coming time.
