     Some figures were given and told to fill up the blanks. for the post of system trainee. Quants,Anals,Verbal and Visual Reasoning.They wnated us to attend all the sections, because they clearly stated that any ommission, they will not value the papers and chances of getting shortlisted was little. After the test they asked us to write a essay on any of these  three topics.

  • My Career

  • What two things i would change if I was the prime minister of India.

   INTERVIEW:

   The tech interview was a breeze

  •    Tell me abt urself

  • Some questions on my project.

  • Q's from subjects studied in past semesters.He actually told me to write 4 important subjects in each semester and asked q's from them.

Xansa paper was very simple....... the flowchart ques. were not available in any book. They were of logical type like some conditions were given and then a flowchart was given. Some of the symbols of flowchart were blank and u had to select the appropriate answer for that blank. Example coloured balls are there. u have to Choose red colour ball if today is monday but it's not raining . Choose yellow if previously u selected odd nos. of green balls and it's not raining but it is monday....... and so on.........the conditions were complex long and puzzling...... but as i said few of my frnds got very simple flowcharts. Syonym section hardly needs any explanation. It was the easiest. Mathematical ability section had simple ques. profit loss, time distance speed ..... ratio proportion all 10nth level Series completion....... was RS Agg. type.... both numerical and alphabetical..... some ques. were easy some puzzling...... Basically the paper was easy....but the time was very less........ u have to just look at a ques. if u can solve it within 30sec. solve it else make a wise guess and move on........ last 3min. should be kept for making wild guesses at unattempted ques. It's better to guess an answer . rather than leaving the ques. as unattempted. As soon as the allocated time for a section expires the browser takes u to the next section. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS very carefully......becoz reading instructions doesn't cost u any time penalty and it gives u some time to relax ur mind.  And sorry I don't remember the ques. and it is of no use............ becoz ques. come randomly from a vast question bank !!  Written test is very very simple only accuracy and time mngmt. counts. Even Tech. intrw is easy the real problems comes in HR intrw......... becoz. u selection is dependent on the whims and fancies of the HR personnel If u join as a fresher ( S/w Engg trainee) ...for the first 6 months the sal. is 1.75L (Gross/per annum basis). After six months they r offering a package of 2.25L (Gross/per annum ) . Basically, Xansa is hiring freshers for the first time hence they r a bit "apprehensive" ........ there is also a 18 month bond.  The salary levels in Xansa are pretty fine....... initial package is just peanuts but increments are very frequent and after ur first yr u can expect a pretty good package.

Xansa conducted an online exam at our campus. The exam was outsourced to an external specialized website which claimed that they had a question bank of around 4million Ques. The site was Indiacareers.com or something like that.
The exam had independent 4-5 sections on :-
* Flowcharts ( 2 flowcharts each having 5 ques.)
* Synonyms (10 ques., very simple ones, not like GRE barrons type ....no antonyms)
* Numerical Ability (simple mathematical ques. 10nth class level...... decimal multiplications, Work, Time distance, profit loss type )

* Series completion ( numerical & alphabetical type, mine ques. were a bit tricky)
* Analogy

This was exactly what was asked and nothing else. The ques. came randomly ...... from the question bank.... so some people got easy ques. in one section while other had a difficult time. I found the Flowchart section to be the most difficult one. But many of many frnds got very simple flowcharts. There was time allocated for each section and after that time quantum....the browser automatically took to the next ques. ...there was no negative marking but minimum sectional cut off was there. The questions were easy but the time was very very less nearly 55 quesions to be answered within 30-40min.

Then after written there was a technical interview round. Technical was a breeze...hey asked only basic Soft Engg. Like prototyping, RAD, waterfall model etc, SDLC . Few were asked to write simple 3-4 line c -programs like swap values of 2 variables without using the third variable. Very basic concepts of OOPS, database etc

Then came the HR round........ in which they stress on communication skills.
 They selected only the mediocres ..... the creamy layer of the class wasn't taken. The toppers of the written analytical test ( Rank 1 & 2 ) were finally rejected. But still Xansa is a good company to work for.

After the Written aptitude test all are equal. So it isn't that if u topped Anaytical test or fared too well in Techical.... u will be through. Communication skills are specially important for Xansa rather then aptitude, Technical knowledge or academic history.
