Panjab Joint B.Ed. Admissions Test 2018

Punjab Joint B.Ed Admission 2018 – Joint B.Ed. Admissions 2018 for Colleges of Education (Government, Govt. Aided, Private Self-Financed Colleges) Affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and situated only in State of Punjab will be done through Common Entrance Test.

These are subject to modifications according to the latest instructions/policies issued by the concerned University, NCTE and Punjab Govt. from time to time

  • Admission to the B.Ed. Program is subject based
  • Candidate must have studied the major subjects of the subject combination for at least two years at Bachelor’s Level/ Master’s Level. During online counselling, only the major subject would be allotted by the university

Panjab Joint B.Ed. Admissions Test 2018

Eligibility Criteria

  • A person who possesses the following qualifications shall be eligible to join the course:
  • Candidates with at least 50% Marks either in Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in Science/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce/Home Science/ BBA/BCA/ BALLB/ B.Com LLB, or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program
  • However, while calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/BC candidates. Candidate with less than 45% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science& Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program
  • However, while calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour rof SC/BC candidates. Candidate with less than 50% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible

Note:

  • Any candidate with less than 50% or less marks would not be eligible
  • There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/BC candidates. Candidate with less than45% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible
  • The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per rules of the Govt. of Punjab

 

Scheme of Exam

  • Entrance test will be conducted on 05th July 2018 from 10.30 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. The single booklet will contain questions as per the details given below:
  • Part-A: General Awareness Test – 30 Marks – 30 Qs
  • Part-B: Teaching Potential – 30 Marks – 30 Qs
  • Part-C: General Mental Ability Test – 30 Marks – 30 Qs
  • Part-D: English: Compulsory for all Candidates – 30 Marks – 30 Qs
  • 30 Marks – 30 of Punjabi & 30 of Hindi
  • Part-E: Punjabi: Compulsory for all those Candidates who have studied Punjabi in Matriculation or Hindi: Compulsory for all those Candidates who have not studied Punjabi in Matriculation
  • Paper shall consist of 150 multiple choice questions and be of a total of 150 marks
  • Q. No. 1-90 will be in English and Punjabi medium.

Part B: Teaching Potential: 30 Marks

  • Knowledge of Teaching Learning Process of Educational System including non-formal and distance education; Audio-Visual Aids and Mass Media etc.; Values as enshrined in the Constitution of India; General Awareness of National Level Educational agencies and organization of Social, Political, Economic and Cultural Agendas; Aptitude for Teaching Profession; Teacher’s personal characteristics and their adjustments; Classroom problems of learners and their solutions; Adjustment problems of human relations with students, colleges and administration; Examination, evaluation and assessment; Library Usage; School and Society

Part C: General Mental Ability Test: 30 Marks

  • Number Series; Classification; Analogies; Synonyms or opposites; Code, De-code; Seeing Relations; Deductive and Inductive Reasoning; Interpretation of Graphs & Figures; Evaluation and Inference; Blood Relations

Part D: English: 30 Marks

  • Grammar; Idioms and Vocabulary; Correction and Punctuation; Written Comprehension

Application Form

Steps to Follow

  • Read Prospectus carefully
  • Register Online. [last date for registration: June 20, 2018 (Wednesday)]
  • Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also)
  • Take print out of fee challan (fee challan can also be downloaded from account using login id and password)
  • Deposit fee using website generated fee challan at any branch of SBI, minimum one day after printing of fee challan. [last date for submission of fee 22nd June 2018 (Friday)].
  • Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form). [last date for completion of form: June 25, 2018 (Monday)]
  • Download your Admit Card after 01st July 2018 (Sunday) after 06.00 pm(Bring one photo identity proof like Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport etc. at the Exam Centre, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter in the Exam Hall)
  • After declaration of result of Entrance Test, the qualified candidates are required to fill Choices for colleges & Major Subject Combination using their Login Id and Password from 12th July (Evening)-20, 2018

 Registration Fee (Non-refundable)

  • For General Category – Rs. 2200/-
  • For SC/PwD Category – Rs. 1100/-
  • Interested candidates who have not registered or have not paid the requisite fee, can fill fresh form by paying late fee of Rs. 1500/-, along with application form fee as prescribed on the website
  • Candidates have to visit Computer Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh for this purpose
