Provide in - depth technical advice and service to clients / or and internal stakeholders to ensure development of efficient systems , utilising established architecture standards , processes , methodologies and tools. Act as a source of expertise across the business providing a range of advice and input into technology and service solutions decision - making , and future ICT technology directions and delivery. Produce high quality solution designs that are right first time to minimise changes during customer activations & Service request (MACs) implementation. Produce high quality design updates that are right first time to minimize changes or rework during Contribute to the development of leading architectural practices and processes. Developing high - quality detailed customer solution architecture designs (CSD or Customer Solution Design) for new customer activations. Perform audits against existing CSD's vs. what is running in production Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good to Have Lifecycle and ownership of all Customer Solution Designs Moves / Adds / Changes - architect any customer service modification requests ensure appropriate design documentation is complete and ready for implementation Provide input to the pre - sales architecture work identifying potential gaps and or non - standard components Support Sales and Account Management teams with the new supporting documentation , and provide a level of education to ensure a high standard of communication to customers of cloud solutions. Lead a dedicated team of SME's to draw together necessary technical knowledge and provide standards / definitions where possible to meet customer requirements. Guide overall architectural and technical solution to meet defined business outcomes and requirements. Undertake tasks requiring technical understanding , diagnosis , qualification of solution fit , and definition of support needs for proposed solutions. Assist the proposal team in documenting and presenting solution / s to clients and provide subject matter expertise on the design and technical constraints for inclusion in bids / proposals including input into estimates and costings. Undertake architectural / technical due diligence on all proposed solutions. VMware / UCS Solution Architect Certifications Good to Have - VCP (VMware Certified Professional) or MCSE Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in at least one of the following server technologies Windows Server 2003 , 2008 , 2012. Storage platforms EMC , IBM , NetApp Experience and Academic Qualification 8 to 10 years of experience in IT Ability to work at odd hours The ability to work constructively under pressure. Flexibility and ability to work both in a team as well as individually. Able to perform knowledge transfer. Customer oriented , Service minded. Excellent communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / equivalent preferred Engineering or a related discipline equivalent combination of education Experience that is required for the specific job level. Post - graduate education is desired. Technical competencies Extensive knowledge of End to End processes for IT Operations , ability to build a process from the scratch and implement across organization. Optimize IT process with the help of new technology. Apply the architecture methodology for developing solutions , ability to prepare the required documentations to support IT solutions (such as crash recovery , system builds , process flow diagrams , user reference guide etc). Good knowledge and understanding of the IT implementation life cycle. Ability to perform internal audits to test IT solutions Good understanding of Incident , Change , & Event Management also root cause analysis Adequate knowledge on health checks assessment of the IT infrastructure and ability to guide the teams on the same. Perform periodic review of the standard policies and implement standards to ensure that the IT infrastructure is aligned. Provide subject matter expertise in dealing with client issues and help the operation teams in early resolution. Ability to manage and lead individuals assigned to a particular project. Candidate should demonstrate good communication and writing skills.
