1. Unique Identification Authority of India, Regional Office, Ranchi invites applications for filling up of following posts on deputation basis from amongst suitable and eligible officers.

2. Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent department/organisation or With five years regular service in the Pay Matrix Level- 6/PB-2, GP-4200/- (pre-revised)/equivalent

3. Good stenography and typing skills Proficiency in handling computers

4. Pay matrix Level -8 (pre-revised Pay Band II, Rs. 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-)

5. Period and other terms and conditions of deputation: The initial period of deputation shall be for three years extendable by a further period of two years as per Department of Personnel & Training O.M.No.6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010. The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the DoP&T’s aforementioned O.M. of 17.6.2010 and Government of India’s instructions issued from time to time on the subject.

Age: The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application

2. The last date for receipt of applications complete in all respect will be the 45 days from the date of publication of vacancy in the Employment News. Candidates who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently. Since this vacancy is to be filled up on deputation basis, private candidates are not eligible.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is a statutory authority established under the provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (Aadhaar Act 2016) on 12 July 2016 by the Government of India, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Prior to its establishment as a statutory authority, UIDAI was functioning as an attached office of the then Planning Commission (now NITI Aayog) vide its Gazette Notification No.-A-43011/02/2009-Admn.I) dated 28th January, 2009. Later, on 12 September 2015, the Government revised the Allocation of Business Rules to attach the UIDAI to the Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) of the then Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

UIDAI was created with the objective to issue Unique Identification numbers (UID), named as "Aadhaar", to all residents of India that is (a) robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities, and (b) can be verified and authenticated in an easy, cost-effective way. The first UID number was issued on 29 September 2010 to a resident of Nandurbar, Maharashtra. The Authority has so far issued more than 120 crore Aadhaar numbers to the residents of India.
