1. Qualification/ Experience: Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board. Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade.

2. Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs 1900/- (As per 6th CPC)
Application Fee: Between 18 and 25 years of age as on the last date of submission of application(Relaxable for Government servant upto 40 years in accordance with orders/instructions issued by the Central Government).

General Instruction/Condition
a. Application must be typed in A4 size paper
b. Application forms received as per given format only be accepted.
c. Candidates are required to forward applications properly sealed, in an envelope to the address “Bengal Area Provost Unit, Fort William, Kolkata -700021, West Bengal” to reach within 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement through Registered Post/Speed Post. Candidates are required to mention the name of post /category (IN BLOCK LETTERS) e.g “ APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF COOK” on the top of the application form and as well as on the outside of the envelope in which the application form is being sent.
d. Candidates are also required to forward a self addressed envelope (size 4”x10”) duly affixing postal stamp of Rs.22/- with application form, for dispatch of the call letters for short listed candidates. Call letters will not be forwarded to those candidates who have not enclosed self addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs. 22/- affixed on it.
e. Incomplete / illegible / ineligible applications will be deemed invalid and rejected without information to the candidate. Application received after closing date will not be entertained. Only eligible candidates will be called for written examination.
f. No application will be received by hand. Call letters will be sent to only those candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects. No TA/DA will be admissible for written examination/tests. Duration of the test can be 02 to 03 days or more.

Documents
a. Photocopies of following documents/certificates will be attached alongwith the application, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
b. Copy of Matriculation Certificate.
c. Copy of Marksheet of Matriculation.
d. Copy of Birth Certificate or Proof of Date of Birth (As per Matriculation Certificate).
e. Copy of NOC in original from their present employer (only in case of Government Servant).
f. Copy of Aadhar card.
g. Three latest passport size photographs, self attested
h. Copy of Ex-Servicemen Certificate, if applicable.
Copy of Character Certificate from SP Office of home town (not more than six months old from date of publication of advertisement).
