Very Urgently Needed Head Retail Assets Banking for Thrissur
Designation: Head Retail Assets- Banking
Salary: As per Industry Standard
Reporting to Executive Vice President
Qualification: Masters degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Finance/ CAIIB
Experience: 15-20 years relevant experience in Retail Banking with focus on Asset products and experience in Collections/ Product Development with at least years experience as Head of a division in a Bank / NBFC
Objective: To develop and implement cohesive and integrated marketing and sales policies, plans and procedures on the retail assets (including MSME) business in order to maximise the Banks market share, profitability and volume on its range of products.
Responsibility:
Strategic and planning
Develop the division strategy in line with the corporate strategy to ensure alignment with the overall vision of the Bank.
Develop and oversee the implementation of division policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Retail Asset Division so that all relevant procedural/regulatory requirements are met.
oversee the consolidation and recommend the Retail Asset division budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs /revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Formulate and manage implementation of the medium to long term strategy of the Retail Asset business including MSME (products and customer management), in alignment with the overall strategic objectives and direction of the Bank Functional
Evaluate the needs of the retail segment in order to capitalise on market opportunities and adjust marketing strategies to reflect changing conditions.
Develop, recommend and implement on approval marketing strategies and plans consistent with established goals in each product. Constantly endeavour to improve the Banks competitive position by review of the plans and policies.
Develop annual operational sales plans in conjunction with Channel Heads based on the overall targets and budgets. Prioritise the overall efforts by service and allocation of resources.
continually monitor the market to determine the market and market penetration of the Banks asset products and ensure that the priority sector lending targets of the Bank are achieved.
Evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Direct the development of new asset products in line with business plans of the Bank.
Develop and implement in conjunction with Corporate Communication and Marketing head, advertising and sales promotion plans and evaluate the effect of such campaigns. Decide strategies to reach potential customers based on the evaluation.
Review and recommend the margin, pricing, risk and cost management for all retail asset products (including MSME products) and continuously monitor profitability to ensure budget and profitability targets are met
Direct and monitor all collection activities within the 90 day cycle to ensure minimum NPAs.
Oversee the overall expansion of the retail assets business to ensure the achievement of the revenue, profitability and NPAs for each segment of the business and directs collection of loans disbursed as per set policies and procedures of the Bank.
Ensure the provision of efficient and cost effective product operations with a view to provide high levels of service, while minimizing the risk and cost.
Co-ordinate the Banks participation in trade shows and community events to promote products and services.
Lead the development of partnerships with other financial institutions for provision of loans to customers beyond the threshold of the Bank products.
Internal process
Lead the execution of building and sustaining a process based organization by continuously seeking to establish and improve processes and SLAs across the Bank ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy, policies and internal controls and standards.
Ensures timely resolution of operating issues and problems that affect service levels and standards by developing and cultivating professional relationships with external agencies and internal departments.
Monitor processes to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements and Turnaround time.
Review preparation of reports to management and statutory bodies ensuring its accuracy and timely submission.
Be updated on the regulatory framework and guidelines issued & guide the team on the same, in order to ensure that operational procedures related the department conform to such guidelines.
People development
Ensure that the employees within Division maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in execution of all their daily operations.
Drive a performance and control/operational excellence driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members.
Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self and reportees.
Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the teams capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline.
Ensure that the all the departments reporting to him/her are adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements.
Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of key performers.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
