KSOU requires a highly competent and committed faculty to build core competencies for imparting state-of-art education, facilitating the process of teaching world class professional and technical education in various departments. So, candidates with the citizenship of India can apply before 10th April 2012 by sending an application form along with other required documents. 42 posts are vacant for Assistant Professor, 5 are for Associate Professor and 1 vacancy is for the post of Librarian. Post of Associate Professor are for the department of Kannada, Economics, Political Science, Management and Journalism & Mass Communication. While post of Assistant Professors if for the department of Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Ancient History & Archaeology, Geography, Anthropology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Kannada, Economics, Political Science, Management, Journalism, Library & Information Science, Psychology, Environmental science, Food & Nutrition, Commerce, Public Administration, Sociology, Hindi, English and History. Eligibility: Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor should have cleared NET conducted by UGC and should posses Masters degree with minimum 55% marks. For the post of Associate Professor, candidates should posses Ph.D degree in the relevant subject along with minimum 8 years of teaching/ research experience. While, Masters degree in Library Science with at least 10 years of experience as deputy librarian and Ph.D qualification is required for the post of Librarian.
