Job Description 1. The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and the mere possession of the same doesnot entitle candidates to be called for interview.2. The Institute of Seismological Research reserves the right to restrict the number of qualifiedcandidates for interview to reasonable limit. Short listing will be done based on academic andemployment track record.3. For the posts of Director and Scientist-F, the experience will be counted before or after acquiringthe prescribed qualification whereas for the posts of Scientist-B and Scientist-E the experience iscounted after acquiring the prescribed qualification.4. Shortlisted Candidate shall be given to and fro train fare (AC III) for interview on production ofproof of journey.5. The number of posts to be filled may vary. The Department reserves the right to cancel therecruitment without assigning any reason.6. Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati/Hindi and English and possess the basic Knowledge ofComputer Application.7. The upper age limit may be relaxed up to five years in favour of a candidate who is already in theService of State Government or Central Government or Government undertaking Board /Corporation or the Local Bodies of the State or the Statutory Organization for all the abovementioned posts.
