Education : (i) A pass in Higher Secondary School or its equivalentwith 50 marks in aggregate and(ii) Diploma in Teacher Education or Certificate in BasicTeachers Training of duration of not less than 2 yearsoffered by an institution recognized by the NationalCouncil for Teacher Education. The minimum academicqualification for admission to the Diploma in TeacherEducation or Certificate in Basic Teachers Trainingshould be Higher Secondary or its equivalent and-2-(iii) Should have studied the particular Regionallanguage (Tamil) as one of the subjects up toSecondary level or as one of the subjects in theD.T.Ed Course or studied Diploma in TeacherEducation / Certificate in Basic Teachers Trainingin the relevant medium of regional language(Tamil).
