Persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act. (ii) M.D/M.S or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. (iii) D.M/M.Ch or equivalent qualification in the specialty concerned recognized by MCI. Experience & Publications (a) As Reader / Associate Professor in the speciality concerned for three years in a recognized teaching institution. (b) Minimum of four research publications indexed in Index Medicus / National Journal and one in International Journal. Provided that these research publication are published / accepted for publication in journals by the National Association / Societies of the respective specialities as the first author. Further, provided that the requirement of four research publications for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on cumulative basis with minimum of two research publications must be published during the tenure of Associate Professor. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000+ Gr.Pay Rs.8700/- (as per VI Central PRC) Upper Age: Limit : 50 yrs Qualification: Same as prescribed for the Post of Professor Experience & Publications: (a) As Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the speciality concerned for two years in a recognized teaching institution. (b) Minimum of two research publications in journals indexed in Index Medicus / National Journal. Provided that these research publication are published / accepted for publication in journals by the National Association / Societies of the respective specialities as the first author. Further, provided that the requirement of two research publications for appointment to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publications must be published during the tenure of Assistant Professor. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Upper Age: Limit : 40 yrs Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 + Gr.Pay Rs.6600/- (as per VI Central PRC) Qualification: Same as mentioned for the post of Professor Experience Three years teaching experience as Resident / Registrar (Clinical) / Demonstrator / Tutor in the specialty concerned in a recognized teaching institution.
