For Broad Specialities ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Upper Age Limit : 50 yrs Pay Scale: Rs.37400- 67000+ Gr.Pay Rs.8700/- (as per VI Central PRC) Qualification: (i) A Medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the IMC Act. Persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act (ii) M.D/M.S or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. Experience & Publications: (a) As Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the speciality concerned for four years in a recognized teaching institution. (b) Minimum of two research publications indexed in Index Medicus / National Journal. Provided that these research publication are published / accepted for publication in journals by the National Association / Societies of the respective specialities as the first author. Further, provided that the requirement of two research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publications must be published during the tenure of Assistant Professor. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Upper Age Limit : 40 yrs Pay Scale: Rs.15600 - 39100 + Gr.Pay Rs.6600/- (as per VI Central PRC) Qualification (i) A Medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the IMC Act. Persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act (ii) M.D/M.S or qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
