Electricity Ombudsman

Applications for the position of the Electricity Ombudsman Applications are invited from interested candidates for the position of the Electricity Ombudsman. Eligibility Criteria & Other Conditions:- 1. The Ombudsman shall be a person of high integrity and repute and standing in any of the areas of law, management, engineering, finance, commerce, public administration or in non-governmental organization. 2. The Ombudsman shall be appointed from amongst such persons who have served at the level of Secretary in the Government of NCT of Delhi or equivalent or in case of persons having served in any public or private sector undertaking or an NGO, whose level of experience, in the opinion of the Commission, can be treated comparable to the aforesaid. 3. The appointment of Ombudsman shall be for a period of 3 years. 4. No person who has reached the age of 67 years shall be eligible for appointment as Ombudsman. 5. No person shall be eligible to be appointed as Ombudsman within two years of his/her retirement if, immediately before such retirement, he / she has been in the service of a General Company/Transmission or Distribution Licensee or in the Holding Company or subsidiary of such Company/Licensee in the NCT of Delhi. 6. The Ombudsman would be entitled to a consolidated salary of Rs.50,000/- per month, with 5% annual increment. There is no prescribed form for application and candidates are free to devise their own format giving full details of their qualifications, experience, E-mail address/contact Nos. etc. Applications for the above position may be forwarded to the Secretary, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission, Viniyamak Bhawan, C-Block, Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-110017, clearly super-scribing the envelope with the details of the position applied for.
