Consultant in Department of Elementary Education

The Department of Elementary Education (DEE) is a nodal department of NCERT to advise the Government of India on policies and programmes pertaining to elementary education in formal and Alternative Innovative Education Sector at the national level. It also acts as a nodal centre at the national level for the implementation of SSA and RTE Act 2009. Under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan the department works for the enhancement of reading & writing opportunities and skills in children of classes I and II. Department of Elementary Education NCERT

The Early Literacy Programme requires the following academic project staff on contract basis for a specific period. The -ed person will be engaged initially upto 31/3/2012 which may be extendable from time to time on the basis of performance till the completion of the project. Desirable: Interest in children’s literature and reading for primary classes Job Profile The candidate will support in the functioning of the Department of Early Literacy & School Libraries. He/She will be required to design research and evaluation studies data collection data analysis and report writing besides other activities of the department such as organize/coordinate teachers training programmes and field visits.
