Programmer /Sr Technical Assistants

Applications are invited for the following purely temporary posts in the DBT funded project under CoE, Centre for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics (CCBB) at School of Computational & Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Programmer /Senior Technical Assistant: 1 post (Consolidated Salary: Rs. 22000/- p.m.) Age limit: 32 years Essential Qualifications: a) B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Technology or MCA with graduation in science subjects/computer applications. b) Minimum 1 year full time relevant work experience in Website design/ hosting on Linux platform. Coding / modification of websites using JSP, java, mysql , apache, tomcat. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in php, oracle, and content management system such as JOOMLA is a plus. Apart from good programming skills, the candidates should have expertise in some of the following areas: Network maintenance and administration, Experience in LINUX and WINDOWS, In- House LAN maintenance, Servers & PCs maintenance and administration. Experience in Bioinformatics related application will be considered favorably. Job Description: Any IT related duties as assigned. Devolving and maintenance of several research related portals, installation of SW related to CCBB research projects.
